ID Cardholders with built-in panic button

Teachers at Briarwood Special Needs School often encounter situations which require rapid assistance from their colleagues. Eliminating such situations is  obviously important for the safety of the students or the teachers themselves. Sometimes, it can be impossible to call for assistance using a phone or radio. With ZONITH’s ID Cardholder panic alarm, teachers can call for assistance at the push of a button.

Personal Safety System

  • Briarwoods Special Needs School teachers always carry a ZONITH ID Cardholder. A discreet panic button is on the back, so that the teachers can press it to call for assistance.

  • The ZONITH ID Cardholder is constantly positioned indoors. Thanks to that, the colleagues are always aware of  to which room or area they should go to assist. This along with the alarm information is visible on their SmartPhone or PC display screen.

  • For outdoor activities staff member can connect the ZONITH ID Cardholder directly to the staff’s Smartphone. This way alarms can go directly to the school in an emergency.

  • Whether indoors or outdoors, if an alarm is triggered, messages immediately go to the colleagues and/or the Special needs school security office. People in charge of the alarm handling take the necessary steps to help.

Alistair Mackintosh, Briarwood School ICT Lead

“Our previous alerting system was no longer fit for purpose - we needed a system that allowed us to respond quickly and efficiently to dynamic classroom situations across large sites. The combination of handsets and ZONITH alerts has enabled staff to ask for help and communicate with others across the school to ensure safety and wellbeing remains paramount. The “Response Team” can also provide and prioritise support by knowing exactly where the support is needed and communicating over the handsets in real-time.”
